6.30pm, the Civic Centre, High Street, Burton Latimer
Northamptonshire's public libraries are under threat - and some are likely to close, as the County Council looks for ways to find £115m savings over the next four years. NCC's review of the county's library services outlines three options to reduce future costs, and is asking for local resident's views:
  • Under options 1 & 2, Burton Latimer library would remain open
  • Under option 3, Burton Latimer library would close
This evening's public meeting is an opportunity for local residents to find out more about the options from guest speaker Councillor Sylvia Hughes (NCC's Cabinet Member for Public Health & Wellbeing), and to give your views. Paper copies of the review, options and survey are available from Burton Latimer library.
