Improve your health, feel better - and meet new people on one of our short walks! We meet every Tuesday morning, and the walks take about 45-60 minutes on surrounding pathways. The Knit & Natter group meets every two weeks, and is for anyone who knits, crochets, does patchwork or cross-stitch - or any other needlecraft. Even if you're not a knitter, you are still welcome to come along for a natter and to enjoy some good company! Learners are also welcome - as are teenagers during school holidays. The cost is £1.50, including refreshments.

St Marys Primary Academy is holding a community circus event this afternoon in conjunction with their school summer fete. A professional circus will be performing at 1pm and 2.30pm and tickets are just £5 each (Family tickets cost just £18 for 4 people). In addition to the circus, the summer fete (free entry) will be hosting craft stalls, refreshments (including a BBQ), face painting, a special appearance from Spiderman and much more! Stalls selling fruit and vegetables, local farm meat, free range eggs and speciality cheeses. The Friends of St Mary's Church will have a stall selling tea, coffee, hot chocolate and cakes - together with books and CDs. If you have unwanted books or CDs in saleable condition, you can donate them at the market.

Coffee morning
9.30am, the Guiding Centre, Alexandra Street, Burton Latimer
The guides will be holding their monthly coffee morning today. Bacon butties, cakes, tea and coffee will be for sale, and there will be a variety of stalls. All proceeds go towards the upkeep and maintenance of the Centre, which is used most evenings during term time by Rainbows, Brownies and Guides.

Assorted stalls will be located around the town - and can be booked with Janet Kirton (tel: 01536 398967). The booking fee per stall is £5 (if paid in advance, or £10 on the day), and the event is advertised widely across the county and beyond.
