Walking for Health
10am (depart), Burton Latimer Library, High Street, Burton Latimer
Improve your health, feel better - and meet new people on one of our short walks! We meet every Tuesday morning, and the walks take about 45-60 minutes on surrounding pathways. The Scrabble club meets every Wednesday at the library. All abilities are welcome. The 1 weekly subscription includes tea and biscuits.

Knit & Natter
2pm - 3.30pm, Burton Latimer Library, High Street, Burton Latimer
The Knit & Natter group meets every two weeks, and is for anyone who knits, crochets, does patchwork or cross-stitch - or any other needlecraft. Even if you're not a knitter, you are still welcome to come along for a natter and to enjoy some good company! Learners are also welcome - as are teenagers during school holidays. The cost is 1.50, including refreshments.

7.30pm, the Methodist Church Schoolroom, Piggott's Lane, Burton Latimer
Burton Latimer Ladies Club will meet this evening, when singing duo 'Zing' will perform Christmas songs. Visitors are always welcome.

Friends of Burton Latimer Library - Xmas coffee morning, a choir & crafts
10am - 2pm, Burton Latimer Library, High Street, Burton Latimer
The Friends of Burton Latimer Library will be holding their Xmas coffee morning today. Tea, coffee & mince pies will be on sale (10.30am-12.30pm), there will be craft activities for the kids (11am-12.30pm), and St Mary's Community Choir will also be performing.

The Christingle Service for The Children's Society will be held this afternoon at St Mary's Parish Church. Please come and join us at this beautiful candlelight service. All welcome.

BLTC invites you to sing carols around the tree. Mulled wine, tea/coffee, soft drinks and mince pies will be for sale. Proceeds in aid of our Mayor's charities.

Monthly farmers market
9am - 1pm, Millennium Garden, High Street, Burton Latimer
Stalls selling fruit and vegetables, local farm meat, free range eggs and speciality cheeses. The Friends of St Mary's Church will have a stall selling tea, coffee, hot chocolate and cakes - together with books and CDs. If you have unwanted books or CDs in saleable condition, you can donate them at the market.

Coffee morning
9.30am, the Guiding Centre, Alexandra Street, Burton Latimer
The guides will be holding their monthly coffee morning today. Bacon butties, cakes, tea and coffee will be for sale, and there will be a variety of stalls - plus decorated Christmas trees and festive wreaths available to buy. All proceeds go towards the upkeep and maintenance of the Centre, which is used most evenings during term time by Rainbows, Brownies and Guides.

Directions is a mutual support group for people who have been bereaved or had a relationship break-up, and who want to chat freely about their loss.

A public forum will take place at the beginning of the meeting to give members of the public and the press the opportunity to address the council on any matters they wish to raise.
