BLHS's latest exhibition tells the story of Burton Latimerís water and windmills though the ages. Starting with the Domesday survey in 1086, the display covers the history of the town's two watermills and windmills that existed in the past - including what they were used for, and what happened to them. It also describes how the windmill-powered water pumps were used by the ironstone companies, and ends by looking at todayís wind turbines on Burton Wold. The exhibition runs until until Saturday, 2nd December - and as usual, entrance is free.

9am - 1pm, Millennium Garden, High Street, Burton Latimer
Stalls selling fruit and vegetables, local farm meat, free range eggs and speciality cheeses. The Friends of St Mary's Church will have a stall selling tea, coffee, hot chocolate and cakes. The Royal British Legion Womenís Section will have a tombola stall at the market - and our local councillors will also be there to meet people and answer questions.

The guides will be holding their monthly coffee morning today - this time, hosted by the Isham Rangers. Bacon butties, cakes, tea and coffee will be for sale, and there will be a variety of stalls. All proceeds go towards the upkeep and maintenance of the Centre, which is used most evenings during term time by Rainbows, Brownies and Guides.

From 2pm, Churchill Way car park, Burton Latimer
The Parade will leave the car park in Churchill Way at 2pm to arrive at St Maryís Church for the service at 2.30pm, followed by a short service at the War Memorial for the laying of wreaths at 3.30pm. Afterwards, refreshments will be served in John Yeomans Hall, Meeting Lane.
