Annual duck raceAnnual duck race
Fun for all the family

The duck race is held every year at the Pocket Park in Station Road, usually in June.

It is a fun day for all the family with bouncy castles, canoe rides, pond dipping, tractor rides and various charity stalls. Our pocket park is a great asset to the town and is used every day by dog walkers, joggers, fishermen, walkers, parents and children.

The 2017 Duck Race and Fete will take place on Sunday 25th June

Come along and have a great afternoon of fun and activities at this annual, fun-packed, family-friendly event. Weetabix have kindly offered free parking for the event in their Station Road car park, almost opposite the Pocket Park entrance. The gates open at 1pm, there's no entrance fee - and you can enjoy:
  • A full and varied programme of live entertainment throughout the afternoon
  • Real ale tent
  • Over 25 stands and stalls - all under cover, so rain won't stop play
  • Refreshments, burgers and hot dogs, ice creams etc
  • Bouncy castle, tractor rides - and lots, lots more - for children to enjoy
  • Lovely walks
  • AND, OF COURSE, OUR FAMOUS DUCK RACE - WITH PRIZES!! The race starts at 3.30pm, and the first four ducks to reach the finishing line will win 150, 100, 75 & 50.
The Duck Race and fete is organised by the Pocket Park Group and Burton Latimer Scouts - with all proceeds going to help support their projects. For more information, 'phone Maureen on 01536 725524 or e-mail mjerram@tiscali.co.uk
