Burton Latimer Allotments Association
Actively promoting organic gardening
Meetings We are part of The National Society of Allotment and Leisure Gardeners, and have a 10-year lease on a 4.5 acre site at the end of Jacques Road (near the new Doctors` Surgery). There are currently over 70 gardeners tending plots of various sizes - and there is a waiting list of 10 persons.
A committee oversees the running of the site, and our AGM is held on the last Thursday in March.

Burton Latimer Guides, Brownies & Rainbows
Meetings Burton Latimer District provides guiding experiences for girls aged between 5years at Rainbows through to our adult members in the Trefoil Guild.

Burton Latimer Heritage Society
Meetings AGM annually third Thursday in March plus summer and autumn afternoon events. During the year the society mounts two twelve week exhibitions with Burton Latimer themes at the Heritage Room Museum, which is in the Civic Centre, High Street.

Burton Latimer Needlecraft Group (BLING)
Meetings The aim of the group is to get together for a natter whilst crafting and to share skills and learn new ones. Trips to shows and day classes will be arranged depending on the group's interests. Beginners and experienced crafters are welcome.

Meetings The Friends of Burton Latimer Library aim to raise the profile and encourage wider use of the town's library. The group organises a range of activities - such as book sales, children's events, coffee mornings and author events.

Friends of St Mary's Church
Meetings We are a charitable organisation set up to enable all people in Burton Latimer (both churchgoers and nonchurchgoers) to help preserve the heritage of our parish church, for the benefit of the whole community. Our role is to help provide funds to repair and enhance the fabric of the church. Members receive invitation to various functions organised through the year.

Ise Valley Rotary Club
Meetings We meet for a meal at Wellingborough Golf Club on Tuesdays, and use our various skills to help the local community. Recent projects in local schools include awards for Young Chef, Young Writer, Young Musician, Young Photographer, and Youth Speaks (public speaking). We also raise funds for local churches and organisations, and take disadvantaged children to Wicksteed Park every year. We have some excellent social events - and would welcome new members.

Monday Club
Meetings The club has been running every Monday (except bank holidays) for over 40 years. We meet at the Bowls club from 10am for coffee - followed by lunch, Bingo, cards and chat - until about 3pm. Membership is open to all.

Royal British Legion - Burton Latimer branch
Meetings Meetings are held at 7.30pm in the Civic Centre on the last Thursday of each month (except August and December). Membership is open to all - not just those associated with the armed forces. We support serving and ex-service personnel and their dependants in Burton Latimer, and our volunteers run the local house-to-house collection as part of the annual poppy appeal.

Royal British Legion - Women's section
Meetings Meetings are held at 7.30pm at the Band Club on the first Monday of the month (except January). Our annual calendar of meetings and social functions raises funds for the Royal British Legion. Membership is open to all.
